Front Page Pooch

Yep! I'm a famous dog. I'll give you a paw-print autograph. I made the front page of the Philadelphia Inquirer. ...Sorta. Front page of the local news section...and...WHAT?! I can't believe it... it's not my good side. See? That's my back--I'm the dog. Here's my good side, though I look kinda sad:

Here's the online version of the same pic:

to read the whole story. I'm diggin' Dog Days, yes siree! Too bad it's over. Got lots of treats! And this blog was mentioned in the article. I'm sure to get a lot of pen-pal dog babes.

  1. Hey Bunsen - thanks for coming over to visit me! You're one handsome doggie! I think our faces look a bit alike - do you have any Dane in you?! :-)

I always like making new friends and I'll keep an eye out for your adventures from now on. About the comments - I don't know - I guess you just collect more and more friends as you go. I make it a rule always to return any visit from someone who has commented on my blog - and I visit a lot of my friends regularly to leave comments on their blogs. If you comment on other people, they'll usually come back to comment on yours too! It's sort of like blog, etiquette, I guess! Although sometimes it can be hard to get round to everybody on the list! :-) The first few months I started, I hardly got any comments but then I started making friends - and I visited friends of the friends - and got to know more doggies in Blogland and it sort of went from there. So you've just gotta hop onto some of the other blogs and introduce yourself! :-)

    Slobbers,
    Honey the Great Dane

  2. I got a comment from HONEY!! HOORAY! Honey has the best dog blog AND website EVER...she's a real famous dog. Check her out: http://bighoneydog.com/

Honey's been in magazines and all sorts of stuff. Man, I have a far way to go. And she's a ballroom dancer. I could never be so graceful...could I?

I think I was meant to be a Great Dane...I mean, I'm a Dane on the inside. But my legs won't cooperate; they stopped growing too soon. I'm kinda goofy and flop-eared, does that count? Honey is a friskerbabe. I think I might be in love...but there's so much distance between us. How can we overcome the obstacles?

I'll just have a crush on you from afar. If only they'd let dogs fly in the cabin--in the First Class cabin. It's not right.

  3. My mom forwarded me your article about Dog Days (don't know how she found it - we live in Michigan!) I think it's the most awesome idea, and wish they had done that while I was in college.

Though, since my parents worked at the college, I got to live at home and see my dogs every day. I always felt bad for the kids who didn't get to go home to their pets in the evenings. :(
